The National Bureau of Statistics reports that in January-June 2025, collective tourist accommodation structures were visited by 222.3 thousand tourists (6.2% more than in the same period of 2024 year), including 94.3 thousand resident tourists (42.4% of the total) and 128.0 thousand (57.6%) non-resident tourists. Increases in tourist accommodation were recorded in hotels and motels (+7.4%), hostels for visitors (+0.9%), tourist and agrotourist pensions (+18.3%), health care structures (+6.7%) and children’s camps (+0.7%). At the same time, the number of tourists accommodated in recreation structures decreased by 7.1%.
A significant share of the total number of foreign tourists accommodated were citizens of: Ukraine (34.5% of the total), Romania (20.3%), the USA (4.8%), Turkey (3.4%), Germany (3.2%), Israel (2.7%), Italy (2.6%), Poland (2.5%), United Kingdom (2.0%) and France (1.7%).
