The National Statistical Bureau reports that in January-March 2026, collective tourist accommodation structures were visited by 105,4 thousand tourists (17.7% more than in the same period of 2025 year), including 36,8 thousand resident tourists (35.0% of the total) and 68,6 thousand (65.0%) non-resident tourists. Increases in tourist accommodation were recorded in hotels and motels (+23.8%), health care structures (+11.1%) tourist and agritourism pensions (+10.4%), children's camps (+4.2%). At the same time, the number of tourists accommodated in hostels for visitors and recreation structures decreased by 58.7% and 4.3%, respectively.
A significant share of the total number of foreign tourists accommodated were citizens of: Ukraine (26.8% of the total), Romania (13.4%), Italy and the USA (2.4% each), Germany (2.1%), Turkey (1.9%), Poland (1.3%) and Great Britain (1.2%).
