Within the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), an external surveillance audit (Stage 2) was conducted to assess the level of compliance of the management system with the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standard on information security and the ISO/IEC 27701:2019 standard on the protection of personal/confidential data, in the field of “Production of Official Statistics.” The surveillance audit was carried out at the end of January of the current year by a certification company from the European Union.
According to the conclusions of the audit report, the NBS management system is implemented in accordance with the audit criteria, is capable of meeting legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements, and is effective in achieving the expected results.
We would like to recall that at the end of 2022, the National Bureau of Statistics obtained certificates of conformity with the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standard on information security and the ISO/IEC 27701:2019 standard on the protection of personal/confidential data.
Through certification, followed by the external audit conducted in January of the current year, it was confirmed that the management system for the protection of personal data, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information complies with the requirements of the standards, with best practices being applied for the maintenance and continuous improvement of information systems and information security.
