Earnings, labor costs and number of employees in 2025

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, according to the results of the annual survey "Earnings and Labour Force Cost in 2025": the average gross monthly earnings of an employee amounted to 15594,5 lei, increasing with 11,5% (or 1604,5 lei) compared to 2024; the average net monthly earnings were 13226,8 lei, 11,6% (or 1369,9 lei) higher than in 2024.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, according to the results of the annual survey "Earnings and Labour Force Cost in 2025":
  • the average gross monthly earnings of an employee amounted to 15594,5 lei, increasing with 11,5% (or 1604,5 lei) compared to 2024;
  • the average net monthly earnings were 13226,8 lei, 11,6% (or 1369,9 lei) higher than in 2024;
  • the average monthly labour cost was 19356,3 lei per employee, 11,4% (or 1973,1 lei) higher than in 2024;
  • the number of employees at the end of 2025 amounted to 763,2 thousand persons, 3,0% (or 22,3 thousand persons) higher than at the end of 2024;
  • the average number of employees amounted to 652,3 thousand persons, increasing by 3,2% compared to 2024.
