Passengers and freight transportation in the Republic of Moldova in January-February 2021

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that 9,3 million passengers were transported with public transport in January-February 2021, with 39,5% less than in the similar period of 2020. The passengers turnover constituted 375,9 million passenger-kilometers, with 50,9% less than January-February 2020.

In January-February 2021 the railway, road, river and air transport enterprises transported 1,7 million tonnes of goods, a volume lower than the one recorded in the same period of 2020 with 19,8%. The turnover of goods totaled 616,8 million tonnes-km, with 15,0% less compared to the corresponding period of 2020.
