The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in 2025, the number of visitors (tourists and excursionists), participants in tourism organized by travel and tour operator agencies totalled 604.1 thousand people (8.7% more than in 2024), of which:

• inbound tourism (the total number of activities of a non-resident visitor in the visited country as part of an inbound tourist trip) recorded 90.5 thousand people (+33.8% compared to 2024);

• outbound tourism (travel of residents of a country outside its borders for tourism purposesfor more than 24 hours) - 401.8 thousand people (+1.2%);

• domestic tourism (travel of residents of the Republic of Moldova within the country for tourism purposes) - 111.8 thousand people (+22.5%).

During the analysed period, outbound tourism held the largest share - 66.5% of total tourism activities, while inbound and domestic tourism accounted 15.0% and 18.5%, respectively.

In 2025, the revenues of travel and tour operator agencies amounted to 5.1 billion MDL (11.2% more than in 2024), of which: from inbound tourism - 86.9 million MDL (+30.7%), from outbound tourism - 4.8 billion MDL (+10.9%), from domestic tourism - 234.8 million MDL (+10.5%).
