Underutilization of the labor force in the first quarter of 2024

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, according to the results of the Labour Force Survey (LFS), in the first quarter of 2024: labour underutilisation rate was 10.1%, decreasing by 2.7 percentage points compared to the corresponding quarter of 2023.

labour underutilisation rate was 10.1%, decreasing by 2.7 percentage points compared to the corresponding quarter of 2023;
the ILO unemployment rate was 4.4%, decreasing by 1.1 percentage points than in the first quarter of 2023;
the combined rate of underemployment and unemployment was 7.6%, decreasing by 2.1 percentage points compared to the first quarter of 2023;
the combined rate of unemployment and potential labour force rate at country level was 7.0%, decreasing by 1.8 percentage points compared to first quarter of 2023.

the ILO unemployment rate was 4.4%, decreasing by 1.1 percentage points than in the first quarter of 2023;

the combined rate of underemployment and unemployment was 7.6%, decreasing by 2.1 percentage points compared to the first quarter of 2023;

the combined rate of unemployment and potential labour force rate at country level was 7.0%, decreasing by 1.8 percentage points compared to first quarter of 2023.
