The National Bureau of Statistics reports that in 2025, tourist accommodation facilities were visited by 525.1 thousand tourists (a 10.7% increase compared to the previous year), including 238.9 thousand resident tourists (45.5% of the total) and 286.2 thousand (54.5%) non-resident tourists. Increases in tourist accommodation were recorded in: tourist and agrotourist pensions (+30.6%), hotels and motels (+13.6%) and health resorts (+4.8%). At the same time, the number of tourists accommodated in recreation structures and hostels for visitors decreased, respectively, by 3.3%, in children’s camps – by 6.4%.
A significant share of the total number of foreign tourists accommodated were citizens of: Ukraine (35.1% of the total), Romania (20.4%), the USA (4.7%), Germany (3.3%), Turkey (3.0%), Italy (2.8%), Israel (2.7%), Poland (2.6%), United Kingdom (1.8%) and France (1.6%).
