National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in the real sector units with 4 or more employees and all budgetary institutions, in the second quarter of 2024:

• the average gross monthly earnings amounted to 14069,2 lei, and increased by 15,5% compared to the second quarter of 2023 and by 6,8% compared to the first quarter of 2024;
• the index of real earnings (calculated as the ratio of the index of gross nominal earnings and the consumer price index), compared to the second quarter of 2023, amounted to 111,6%, which means that earnings increased in real terms by 11,6%;
• the average number of employees, compared to the second quarter of 2023, increased by 0,4%.
