National Bureau of Statistics informs that, according to the results of the annual survey "Earnings and Labour Force Cost in 2023" the average gross nominal monthly earnings of an employee amounted 12209,2 lei, increasing with 16,9% (or 1761,9 lei) compared to 2022.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, according to the results of the annual survey "Earnings and Labour Force Cost in 2023":

the average gross nominal monthly earnings of an employee amounted 12209,2 lei, increasing with 16,9% (or 1761,9 lei) compared to 2022;
the average net nominal monthly earnings were 10372,1 lei, by 16,5% (or 1472,5 lei) more than in 2022;
the average monthly labour cost was 15252,7 lei per employee, by 16,6% (or 2167,6 lei) more than in 2022;
the number of employees at the end of 2023 amounted 733,3 thousand persons, by 0,5% (or 3,7 thousand persons) more than at the end of 2022;
the average number of employees amounted to 626,3 thousand persons, increasing by 0,4% compared to 2022;
at the end of 2023 were 28,8 thousand of job vacancies, which is 3,8% of the total number of jobs.
