Freight and passenger transportation in the Republic of Moldova in January-November 2019
The National Bureau of Statistics informs that 94,5 million passengers were transported with public transport in January-November 2019, with 1,2% more than in the similar period of 2018. The passenger's journey constituted 5555,8 million passenger-kilometers, with 1,6% more than January-November 2018.
In the period under review, passenger transport accounted for the highest share (97,1%), followed by air transport (1,6%) and rail transport (1,2%).
Compared to January-November 2018, increases were recorded for road transport of passengers (+1,8%) and river transport (+0,5%). At the same time, there is a decrease, compared to the respective period of 2018, rail passengers (-30,0%) and air transport (-2,3%).
