National Bureau of Statistics informs, that:

• in May 2024 compared to May 2023 industrial production (gross series) decreased by 5.2%;

• in January-May 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year industrial production (gross series) increased by 1.3%.

The decrease in industrial production (gross series) in May 2024 compared to May 2023 (by 5.2%) was caused by decreases in manufacturing (-5.5%) and in electricity, gas, hot water and air conditioning supply (-4.2%), generating decreases in total industry output by 4.9% and 0.3% respectively. At the same time, there was an increase in extractive industries by 0.8%.
