International trade of goods of the Republic of Moldova in September 2025

Exports of goods in September 2025 were amounted to 345,4 million USD, with 3,8% more than in August 2025 and with 23,1% more compared to September 2024.

Exports of goods in January-September 2025, amounted to 2626,1 million USD, which is 0,3% more than in the corresponding period of 2024.

Exports of domestic goods in January-September 2025 amounted to 2045,7 million USD (77,9% of total exports), with 3,3% more than in the corresponding period of 2024, which influenced the increase of the total value of exports with 2,5%.

Reexports of foreign goods in January-September 2025 amounted to 580,4 million USD (22,1% of total exports), or 9,0% less than in the corresponding period of 2024, which influenced the decrease of the total value of exports with 2,2%.

Exports of goods to the countries of the European Union (EU-27) in January-September 2025 totaled 1788,8 million USD (2,5% more than in the corresponding period of 2024), accounting 68,1% of total exports, with 1,5 percentage points more than in January-September 2024.

Exports of goods to CIS2 countries in January-September 2025 amounted to 163,4 million USD (with 15,5% less than in the corresponding period of 2024), equivalent to a share of 6,2% in total exports, less with 1,2 percentage points compared to January-September 2024.

Imports of goods in September 2025 amounted to 937,0 million USD, with 5,4% more compared to August 2025 and with 21,2% more compared to September 2024.

Imports of goods in January-September 2025, totaled USD 7848,6 million, which is 18,7% more than in the corresponding period of 2024.

Imports of goods from the countries of the European Union (EU-27) in January-September 2025 amounted to 4210,2 million USD (with 28,9% more compared to corresponding period of 2024), accounting for 53,6% of total imports, more with 4,2 percentage points compared to January-September 2024.

Imports of goods from CIS2 countries in January-September 2025 amounted to 228,6 million USD (with 11,7% less than in the same period of 2024), equivalent to a share of 2,9% in total imports, less with 1,0 percentage points compared to January-September 2024.

The trade balance deficit in September 2025 was 591,6 million USD, which is 35,0 million USD (+6,3%) more than in August 2025, and with 98,9 million USD (+20,1%) more compared to September 2024.

The considerable gap between exports and imports of goods led to the accumulation of a trade balance deficit amounting to 5222,5 million USD in January-September 2025, which is 1227,3 million USD (+30,7%) more than the level recorded in the corresponding period of 2024.

In January-September 2025, the trade balance with the European Union (EU-27) recorded a deficit of 2421,4 million USD, and with CIS countries – 65,5 million USD, which is 901,4 million USD (+59,3%) more, respectively with 0,4 million USD (-0,6%) less, compared to the values recorded in the corresponding period of 2024.
