Passengers and freight transportation in the Republic of Moldova in January-April 2021

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that 19,3 million passengers were transported with public transport in January-April 2021, with 6,9% less than in the similar period of 2020. The passengers turnover constituted 779,3 million passenger-kilometers, with 21,5% less than January-April 2020.

In January-April 2021 the railway, road, river and air transport enterprises transported 4,6 million tonnes of goods, a volume lower than the one recorded in the same period of 2020 with 0,7%. The turnover of goodstotaled 1439,4 million tonnes-km, with 2,3% less compared to the corresponding period of 2020.
