On May 27, 2009, at the National Bureau of Statistics the seminar "Using of the development indicators in a gender sensitive manner in the labour market and living standards field" has been organized, with the participation of an international expert from Department of Statistics of ILO (Geneva), Ms. Mata Greenwood, as well as reprezentatives of ministries and organizations, data users and producers.

The set of harmonized development indicators in a gender sensitive manner in the context of MDGs (launched in June 2008) is aimed to serve as a platform for mainstreaming gender into national policies as well as a tool for more efficient monitoring and reporting on the promotion of gender equality in Moldova. Thus, this set is contributing towards fulfilling the national and international commitments of the country.

In the framework of the seminar also the publication "Harmonised set of development indicators in a gender sensitive matter" has been presented, and it is available on the on the web page in electronic version, and for consluting in the Library of NBS.
