The National Bureau of Statistics presents the information regarding the situation of young people in the Republic of Moldova in 2022.

Young people represent about a quarter of the country's population

The number of population with usually resident population on January 1, 2023 constituted  2512,8 thousand persons, of which 615,3 thousand or 24,5% were young people aged between 14-34 years. The distribution of young people by sex is as follows: 49,9% - men and 50,1% - women.
