National Bureau of Statistics informs that, according to the results of the ,,Labor Force Survey” (LFS), in the fourth of 2023, young people aged between 15-34 years were represented by the following categories of people:
- young people neither in employment nor in education and training (NEET), the proportion of which was 28.1%, decreasing by 0.6 percentage points compared to the level of the fourth quarter of 2022 (28.7%);
- young people not in employment, but in education and training, which reached the share of 27.9%, or by 1.0 percentage points more compared to the fourth quarter of 2022 (26.9%);
- young people in employment, but not in education and training, which marked 35.1,%, increasing by 0.1 percentage points compared to the fourth quarter of 2022;
- young people in employment and in education and training, which constituted 3.0%, increasing by 0.3 percentage points compared to the fourth quarter of 2022 (2.7%);
- young people who are abroad working or looking for work for a period of up to one year and not in education and training, which constituted 5.9%, decreasing by 0.8 percentage points compared to the level of the fourth quarter of 2022 (6.7%).
The total number of young people aged 15-34 years who forming the NEET group was 164.5 thousand people aged 15-24 years – 31.6 thousand people, aged 15-29 years – 90.2 thousand people. For all these three age groups, the majority are women (62.4% at the group 15-24 years, 66.4% at the aged 15-29 years and 65.6% at rge aged 15-34 years).
