National Bureau of Statistics informs that, according to the results of the annual survey "Earnings and Labour Force Cost in 2024":

• the average gross nominal monthly earnings of an employee amounted 13990,0 lei, increasing with 14,6% (or 1780,8 lei) compared to 2023;

• the average net nominal monthly earnings were 11856,9 lei, by 14,3% (or 1484,8 lei) more than in 2023;

• the average monthly labour cost was 17383,2 lei per employee, by 14,0% (or 2130,5 lei) more than in 2023;

• the number of employees at the end of 2024 amounted 740,9 thousand persons, by 1,0% (or 7,6 thousand persons) more than at the end of 2023;

• the average number of employees amounted to 632,4 thousand persons, increasing by 1,0% compared to 2023;

• at the end of 2024 were 29,7 thousand of job vacancies, which is 3,9% of the total number of jobs.
