National Bureau of Statistics informs:

• in February 2024 compared to February 2023 industrial production (gross series) increased by 10.0%;

• in January-February 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year industrial production (gross series) increased by 3.8%.

The increase in production (gross series) in February 2024 compared to February 2023 (by 10.0%) was  caused by increases in extractive industries (+5.7%) and manufacturing industries (+17.1%), generating increases in total industry production by 0.1% and 11.8% respectively.

At the same time, there was a decrease in the production and supply of electricity and heat, gas, hot water and air conditioning (-6.6%), attenuating the increase in total industry production by 1.9%.
