National Bureau of Statistics informs:

• in July 2023 compared to July 2022 industrial production (gross series) decreased by 4,0%

• in January-July 2023 compared to the same period of the previous year industrial production (gross series) decreased by 7,1%.

The decrease in production (gross series) in July 2023 compared to July 2022 (by 4,0%) was caused by decreases in extractive (-11,5%) and manufacturing industry (-7,0%), generating decreases in total industry production of 0,3% and 6,3% respectively. At the same time, there was an increase in the production and supply of electricity and heat, gas, hot water and air conditioning (+32,4%), attenuating the decrease in total industry production by 2,6% respectively.
