National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in March 2023 industrial production (gross series) decreased compared to the corresponding month of the previous year by 4,7%. The decrease in production in March 2023 compared to March 2022 was caused by decreases in manufacturing (-1,1%) and the production and supply of electricity and heat, gas, hot water and air conditioning (-15,5%), generating decreases in total industry production of 0,8% and 4,0% respectively. At the same time, there was an increase in the extractive industry (+6,0%) attenuating the decrease in total industry output by 0,1%.
