About

The Industrial Production Price Index (IPPI) measures the overall evolution of the prices of industrial products/services manufactures and delivered in the first trading stage by domestic producers during a certain period (called current period) as compared to a previous period (called base or reference period).
The coverage of the Industrial Production Price Index is represented by the range of products manufactured and sold (on the domestic and/or non-domestic market) by the industrial enterprises the main activity of which fits in the divisions of 05÷35 from CAEM-2.
The survey of industrial product prices is based on the PRODMOLD (2013 list) Nomenclature of industrial products, harmonized with the European standard PRODCOM, 2013 list.
The Industrial Production Price Index is of Laspeyres type and is determined on the basis of a system of constant weights revised once in 5 years. The weighting system used in the IPPI calculation is determined separately by destination, as used in the IPPI calculation delivered on the domestic or non-domestic market.
The data are published monthly on the official website of the NBS via the press release, the statistical databank and the section Statistics by themes
