National Bureau of Statistics communicates that in 2025: small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) accounted for 99,7% of the total number of reporting enterprises (similar as in 2024), large enterprises account for only 0,3% of enterprises; the average number of employees in SMEs constituted 393,0 thousand, owning 71,6% of the total average number of employees of enterprises (compared to 70,9% in 2024); sales revenues of SMEs amounted to 563,3 billion lei or 73,4% of total sales revenues in the economy (compared to 71,7% in 2024).
