On July 22-23, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) organized a workshop dedicated to the statistical survey on gender-based violence. The aim of the meeting was to consult data users on their information needs of in the field of preventing and combating violence in society. The event brought together around 40 participants, including representatives of line ministries, other public authorities, institutions, and non-governmental organizations.

Final Results of the Population and Housing Census 2024
The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, according to the final results of the 2024 Population and Housing Census (PHC), the number of persons with usual residence on the census reference date (April 8, 2024) was 2,409,200.
The publication contains main statistical indicators that characterize the educational system of the country for the period 2018-2024. Data are represented by educational levels: early education, primary and general secondary education, vocational education, higher education, doctorate, regional statistics.
Exports of goods in May 2025 were amounted to 257,8 million USD, with 2,9% less than in April 2025 and with 7,2% less compared to May 2024. Exports of goods in January-May 2025, amounted to 1334,9 million USD, which is 10,5% less than in the corresponding period of 2024.
The National Bureau of Statistics informs that average consumer prices in June 2025 increased compared to May 2025 by 0,2%, December 2024 by 5,1%, June 2024 (during the last 12 months) by 8,2%.
National Bureau of Statistics presents the statistical data regarding the average life expectancy in the Republic of Moldova in 2024, measured by the life expectancy at birth of the population with usual residence. The average life expectancy in the Republic of Moldova in 2024 was of 72,0 years, increasing by 0,1 years compared to the previous year. Life expectancy at birth by sex in 2024 was 67,6 years for men and 76,4 years for women (increasing by 0,1 years for men, respectively, compared to the previous year).
National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) presents provisional data (estimates) on the number of population with usually resident population in the Republic of Moldova on 1 January 2025, which represents the number of persons who were mainly resident in the territory of the Republic of Moldova during the last 12 months of the reference year regardless of temporary absences (for recreation, holidays, visits to relatives and friends, business, medical treatment, religious pilgrimages, etc.).
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, on January 1, 2025, the dwelling stock registered by the relevant bodies/institutions constituted 1337,3 thousand dwellings with an increase of 0,4% compared to the situation registered on January 1, 2024.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in the real sector units with 4 or more employees and all budgetary institutions, in the first quarter of 2025 approximately 32,8 thousand job vacancies were registered, the job vacancy rate (the ratio of the number of vacant jobs to the total number of posts) was 4,7%.
