The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, according to data provided by the Public Institution "Real Estate Cadastre" and local public administration authorities, as of January 1, 2026, the officially registered housing stock (occupied and unoccupied dwellings) amounted to 1,365.3 thousand dwellings, representing an increase of 2.1% compared to the situation recorded on January 1, 2025. The total floor area of the registered housing stock as of January 1, 2026, amounted to 93,379.3 thousand m², or 1.7% more than the total floor area of the housing stock recorded on January 1, 2025.
