The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2024, compared to the previous year, in the entities that carried out research and development activity over 3.3 thousand people worked, or 0.2 thousand people less (by 5.8%) compared to the previous year, expenditures for research and development activity amounted to 699.1 million lei, or 28.0 million lei (by 4.2%) more compared to 2023, recording about 0.22% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) (at the level of 2023).

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, according to the results of the survey ,,Labour Force Survey (LFS), in 2024" the labour force (active population aged 15 years and over) was 889.1 thousand persons, which is 4.3% less than in 2023, the employed population aged 15 and over was 853.9 thousand persons, down by 3.7% compared to 2023, the unemployment rate for the country as a whole was 4.0%, decreasing by 0.6 percentage points compared to the level of the 2023.
