International trade of goods of the Republic of Moldova in July 20251

Exports of goods in July 2025 were amounted to 347,0 million USD, with 30,3% more than in June 2025 and with 21,8% more compared to July 2024.

Exports of goods in January-July 2025, amounted to 1948,2 million USD, which is 5,7% less than in the corresponding period of 2024.

Exports of domestic goods in January-July 2025 amounted to 1497,7 million USD (76,9% of total exports), with 4,0% less than in the corresponding period of 2024, which influenced the decrease of the total value of exports with 3,0%.

Reexports of foreign goods in January-July 2025 amounted to 450,5 million USD (23,1% of total exports), or 10,8% less than in the corresponding period of 2024, which influenced the decrease of the total value of exports with 2,7%.

Exports of goods to the countries of the European Union (EU-27) in January-July 2025 totaled 1292,1 million USD (4,0% less than in the corresponding period of 2024), accounting 66,3% of total exports, with 1,2 percentage points less than in January-July 2024.

Exports of goods to CIS2 countries in January-July 2025 amounted to 125,7 million USD (21,8% less than in the corresponding period of 2024), equivalent to a share of 6,5% in total exports, less with 1,3 percentage points compared to January-July 2024.

Imports of goods in July 2025 amounted to 905,1 million USD, with 6,1% more compared to June 2025 and with 14,8% more compared to July 2024.

Imports of goods in January-July 2025, totaled USD 6022,7 million, which is 18,0% more than in the corresponding period of 2024.

Imports of goods from the countries of the European Union (EU-27) in January-July 2025 amounted to 3272,4 million USD (with 30,0% more compared to corresponding period of 2024), accounting for 54,3% of total imports, more with 5,0 percentage points compared to January-July 2024.

Imports of goods from CIS2 countries in January-July 2025 amounted to 170,5 million USD (with 13,0% less than in the same period of 2024), equivalent to a share of 2,8% in total imports, less with 1,0 percentage points compared to January-July 2024.

The trade balance deficit in July 2025 was 558,1 million USD, which is 28,5 million USD (-4,9%) less than in June 2025, and with 54,6 million USD (+10,8%) more compared to July 2024.

The considerable gap between exports and imports of goods led to the accumulation of a trade balance deficit amounting to 4074,5 million USD in January–July 2025, which is 1035,4 million USD (+34,1%) more than the level recorded in the corresponding period of 2024.

In January–July 2025, the trade balance with the European Union (EU-27) recorded a deficit of 1980,3 million USD, and with CIS countries – 44,8 million USD, which is 808,4 million USD (1,7 times) more, respectively 9,6 million USD (+27,2%) more, compared to the values recorded in the corresponding period of 2024.
