International trade of goods of the Republic of Moldova in June 20251
Exports of goods in June 2025 were amounted to 266,3 million USD, with 3,3% more than in May 2025 and with 7,7% less compared to June 2024.
Exports of goods in January-June 2025, amounted to 1601,2 million USD, which is 10,1% less than in the corresponding period of 2024.
Exports of domestic goods in January-June 2025 amounted to 1226,2 million USD (76,6% of total exports), with 9,8% less than in the corresponding period of 2024, which influenced the decrease of the total value of exports with 7,5%.
Reexports of foreign goods in January-June 2025 amounted to 375,0 million USD (23,4% of total exports), or 10,8% less than in the corresponding period of 2024, which influenced the decrease of the total value of exports with 2,6%.
Exports of goods to the countries of the European Union (EU-27) in January-June 2025 totaled 1026,9 million USD (11,3% less than in the corresponding period of 2024), accounting 64,1% of total exports, with 0,9 percentage points less than in January-June 2024.
Exports of goods to CIS2 countries inJanuary-June 2025 amounted to 107,1 million USD (23,9% less than in the corresponding period of 2024), equivalent to a share of 6,7% in total exports, less with 1,2 percentage points compared to January-June 2024.
Imports of goods in June 2025 amounted to 852,9 million USD, with 0,5% less compared to May 2025 and with 23,1% more compared to June 2024.
Imports of goods in January-June 2025, totaled USD 5117,6 million, which is 18,6% more than in the corresponding period of 2024.
Imports of goods from the countries of the European Union (EU-27) in January-June 2025 amounted to 2781,4 million USD (with 31,7% more compared to corresponding period of 2024), accounting for 54,4% of total imports, more with 5,5 percentage points compared to January-June 2024.
Imports of goods from CIS2 countries inJanuary-June 2025 amounted to 150,3 million USD (with 9,9% less than in the same period of 2024), equivalent to a share of 2,9% in total imports, less with 1,0 percentage points compared to January-June 2024.
The trade balance deficit in June 2025 was 586,6 million USD, which is 12,4 million USD (-2,1%) less than in May 2025, and with 182,1 million USD (+45,0%) more compared to June 2024.
The considerable gap between exports and imports of goods led to the accumulation of a trade balance deficit amounting to 3516,4 million USD in January–June 2025, which is 980,7 million USD (+38,7%) more than the level recorded in the corresponding period of 2024.
In January–June 2025, the trade balance with the European Union (EU-27) recorded a deficit of 1754,5 million USD, and with CIS countries – 43,2 million USD, which is 800,6 million USD (1,8 times) more, respectively 16,9 million USD (1,6 times) more, compared to the values recorded in the corresponding period of 2024.
