The publication “Children’s Activities in the Republic of Moldova” posted on the website
The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) informs about the publication of the statistical report “Children’s Activities.” The publication presents a synthesis of the main statistical indicators regarding the socio-demographic characteristics of children and their involvement in school, economic, and household activities at the national level, in conditions of international comparability.
This publication reflects the results of the statistical survey “Children’s Activities”, conducted by the National Bureau of Statistics in the second quarter of 2025.
For the first time, the “Children’s Activities” survey was conducted in the Republic of Moldova in the fourth quarter of 2009. Both the 2025 survey and the first edition in 2009 were carried out with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Moldova and the International Labour Organization (ILO) (including the ILO Department of Statistics).
The results of the 2025 survey are not entirely comparable with those from 2009 due to the update of international standards for measuring child labour, as well as the national conceptual framework.
The publication is available in Romanian.
The annex to the publication is also available in Excel format.
