National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-June 2024 the number of visitors (tourists and excursionists) participating in tourism organized by travel agencies and tour-operators registered 210,1 thousand persons (with 21,1% more than in January-June 2023), of which:

• inbound tourism (foreign citizens visiting Moldova) registered 25.6 thousand persons (+55.1% compared to January-June 2023);
• outbound tourism (Moldovan residents travelling abroad) - 141.0 thousand persons (+19.6%);
• domestic tourism (Moldovan residents travelling inside Moldova) - 43.5 thousand persons (+11.5%).
