National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2023, the volume of construction works decreased compared to 2022 with 2.5% (in comparable prices), as a result of the decrease of the volume of new construction works (-14.2%) and of the volume of maintenance and current repairs works (-12.0%).

The volume of capital repair works and the volume of other construction works (demolition, land development up to construction, etc.) increased in the analysis period with 40.4% and 17.0% respectively compared to 2022.
