National Bureau of Statistics informs, that:

• in April 2024 compared to April 2023 industrial production (gross series) increased by 5.0%;

• in January-April 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year industrial production (gross series) increased by 2.8%.

The increase in production (gross series) in April 2024 compared to April 2023 (by 5.0%) was caused by increases in extractive industries (+60.9%) and manufacturing industries (+10.2%), generating  increases in total industry production by 1.2% and 8.7% respectively.

At the same time, there was an decrease in the production and supply of electricity and heat, gas, hot water and air conditioning (-39.3%), attenuating the increase in total industry production by 4.9%.
