International trade of goods of the Republic of Moldova in December 20251
Exports of goods in December 2025 were amounted to 351,9 million USD, with 11,1% less than in November 2025 and with 30,4% more compared to December 2024.
Exports of goods in 2025, amounted to 3782,7 million USD, which is 6,4% more than in 2024.
Exports of domestic goods in 2025 amounted to 2979,0 million USD (78,8% of total exports), with 10,0% more than in 2024, which influenced the increase of the total value of exports with 7,6%.
Reexports of foreign goods in 2025 amounted to 803,7 million USD (21,2% of total exports), or 5,1% less than in 2024, which influenced the decrease of the total value of exports with 1,2%.
Exports of goods to the countries of the European Union (EU-27) in 2025 totaled 2554,4 million USD (6,8% more than in 2024), accounting 67,5% of total exports, with 0,2 percentage points more than in 2024.
Exports of goods to CIS2 countries in 2025 amounted to 224,2 million USD (with 7,2% less than in 2024), equivalent to a share of 5,9% in total exports, less with 0,9 percentage points compared to 2024.
Imports of goods in December 2025 amounted to 1100,0 million USD, with 12,4% more compared to November 2025 and with 30,1% more compared to December 2024.
Imports of goods in 2025, totaled USD 10921,6 million, which is 20,5% more than in 2024.
Imports of goods from the countries of the European Union (EU-27) in 2025 amounted to 5910,3 million USD (with 30,0% more compared to 2024), accounting for 54,1% of total imports, more with 3,9 percentage points compared to 2024.
Imports of goods from CIS2 countries in 2025 amounted to 325,5 million USD (with 6,0% less than in 2024), equivalent to a share of 3,0% in total imports, less with 0,8 percentage points compared to 2024.
The trade balance deficit in December 2025 was 748,1 million USD, which is 165,4 million USD (+28,4%) more than in November 2025, and with 172,6 million USD (+30,0%) more compared to December 2024.
The considerable gap between exports and imports of goods led to the accumulation of a trade balance deficit amounting to 7138,9 million USD in 2025, which is 1628,8 million USD (+29,6%) more than the level recorded in 2024.
In 2025, the trade balance with the European Union (EU-27) recorded a deficit of 3355,9 million USD, and with CIS countries – 101,3 million USD, which is 1202,2 million USD (+55,8%) more, respectively with 3,4 million USD (-3,2%) less, compared to the values recorded in 2024.
