The structure of the active population has changed as follows: the share of employed persons increased from 94,1% to 95,9%, while the share of unemployed persons decreased from 5,9% to 4,1%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2013 tourist agencies and tour-operators provided tourist services to 204,9 thousand tourists and excursionists, that is 5,6% more than in 2012. Number of tourists and excursionists participating at the exit and entrance tourism organized by the tourist agencies and tour-operators in 2013 increased with 7,3% and 2,8% correspondingly, compared to 2012 , whereas, the number of domestic tourism decreased 0,6%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2013 271,5 thou. tourists attended the establishments of collective touristic accommodation, of which 175,9 thou. Moldovan tourists (64,8%) and 95,6 thou. foreign tourists (35,2%). In comparison with 2012 the number of tourists has increased (+1,2%), mainly due to the increase of the number of tourists in hostels (+8,9%), hotels and motels (+6,0%), health-care structures (+2,9%) and holiday camps for children (+1,1%).
