National Bureau of Statistics informs that, according to preliminary estimates, in January-June 2023 compared to the same period in 2022, the total agricultural production in households of all categories decreased by 1% (in comparable prices). At the same time, crop production increased by 2,7% and livestock production decreased by 1,4%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2022: value of manufactured industrial production (in current prices) in 2022 amounted to 85,5 billion lei, which is 94,9% in comparable prices compared to 2021; the industrial sector of the economy is mainly determined by the activity of manufacturing enterprises, which in 2022 accounted for 86,2% of the total value of manufactured output.

The decrease in production in April 2023 compared to April 2022 was caused by decreases in the extractive industry (-31,7%) and in manufacturing (-17,6%) generating decreases in total industry production of 0,8% and 15,5% respectively.
