National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in August 2019 the producer prices in industry remained at the same level compared to July 2019, and increased with 2,7% compared to August 2018 and with 2,3% compared to December 2018.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that 59,7 million passengers were transported with public transport in January-July 2019, with 2,0% more than in the similar period of 2018. The passenger's journey constituted 3387,0 million passenger-kilometers, with 3,3% more than January-July 2018.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in the second quarter of 2019 the gross domestic product on gross series totaled 49704 mil.lei current market prices, increasing - in real terms - by 5,8% compared to the second quarter of 2018. On the series seasonally adjusted, Gross domestic product increased by 5,2% compared to the second quarter of 2018 and with 2,0% - compared to the first quarter of 2019.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in August 2019 the annual inflation registered 5,5%, including: food products – 8,3%, nonfood products – 4,8% and services – 2,2%. The consumer price index in August 2019 compared to July 2019 registered 99,97%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in the second quarter 2019 the average gross nominal earnings constituted 7302,6 Lei, an increase of 14,6% compared to the second quarter 2018. The index of the real salary in the second quarter 2019 compared to the second quarter 2018 was 110,2%, more with 10,2% compared to previous year.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-June 2019 the gross written premiums amounted to 769,9 million lei, increasing by 9,1% compared to the gross premiums written in the previous year. Compensation and insurance indemnities paid in January-June 2019 amounted to 354,5 million lei, exceeding by 20,8% compared the corresponding period of 2018.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-June 2019 tourism agencies and tour-operators provided tourism services to 151,6 thousand tourists and excursionists, with 12,2% more than in the corresponding period of 2018. The growth of the number of tourists and excursionists was caused by increase of internal tourism, outbound tourism and inbound tourism.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that a number of 156,4 thou. tourists attended the establishments of collective touristic accommodationin during the period of January-June 2019, of which 78,9 thou. of non-resident tourists and 77,4 thou. of resident tourists. In comparison to January-June 2018, the number of tourists accommodated in the collective tourist reception facilities increased due to its growth in hotels and motels, rest structures and holiday camps for pupils.

National Bureau of Statistics presents the statistical information on the demographic situation in the Republic of Moldova for the years 2014-2018, analyzed through the aspects of the demographic events, which took place during the same period.
