On July 22-23, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) organized a workshop dedicated to the statistical survey on gender-based violence. The aim of the meeting was to consult data users on their information needs of in the field of preventing and combating violence in society. The event brought together around 40 participants, including representatives of line ministries, other public authorities, institutions, and non-governmental organizations.
On 15 July, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), with the support of the Government of the Republic of Moldova and development partners – the Delegation of the European Union and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) – organized a public event to present the final brief results of the 2024 Population and Housing Census (PHC 2024).
The publication contains main statistical indicators that characterize the educational system of the country for the period 2018-2024. Data are represented by educational levels: early education, primary and general secondary education, vocational education, higher education, doctorate, regional statistics.
The publication is based on the results of sample statistical survey of the agricultural activity of small agricultural producers and is a synthesis of the main statistical indicators on the situation of small producers in the Republic of Moldova - households and farms, which use agricultural lands with an area of less than 10 ha.

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reaffirmed its commitment to promoting digital transformation, at the Moldova Digital Summit 2025 - a nationally and regionally significant event held under the high patronage of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, from 5 to 7 June. Considering the complexity of poverty, a wide range of indicators is used internationally to analyze it. Thus, poverty can be measured based on monetary aggregates, such as consumer spending or income, but also using non-monetary indicators and multidimensional approaches.
According to the latest Open Data Inventory (ODIN) 2024/25 assessment by Open Data Watch organization, the Republic of Moldova ranked 17th globally out of 198 countries and 3rd in Eastern Europe in terms of coverage and openness of official statistical data. Moldova received an overall score of 79 out of 100, an improvement of 3 points compared to the previous edition.
The delegation of the National Bureau of Statistics led by Oleg Cara, Director General of the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), participated in the 2025 High Level Seminar (HLS) on statistical cooperation for the countries of the European Neighbourhood Policy East and Central Asia Countries (ENP-East and CAC), on the theme „Official statistics in a changing world: value, efficiency and readiness for the future of statistics”.
