National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2014 tourist agencies and tour-operators provided tourist services to 238,1 thousand tourists and excursionists, that is 16,2% more than in 2013. In 2014 compared to 2013, number of tourists and excursionists participating at the domestic tourism increased 26,0%, at exit and entrance tourism increased with 14,7% and 9,2% correspondingly.
The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January 2015 compared to December 2014 the consumer price index registered 100,8%, and compared to January 2014 - 104,7%.
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2014 283,0 thou. tourists attended the establishments of collective touristic accommodation, of which 189,1 thou. Moldovan tourists (66,8%) and 93,9 thou. foreign tourists (33,2%). In comparison with 2013 the number of tourists has increased (+4,2%), mainly due to the increased of the number of tourists in touristic villas, recreation camps (+45,8%), hotels and motels (+7,6%) and health structures (+2,7%).

Today, February 4 2015, the project “Improved Regional Statistics in the Republic of Moldova” has been launched. The goal of EU assistance through the project “Improved Regional Statistics in the Republic of Moldova” is to strengthen the capacity of the producers of statistics, mainly the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) to improve the methodological aspects of regional statistics as well as their dissemination.
Today, February 4 2015, the project “Improved Regional Statistics in the Republic of Moldova” has been launched. The goal of EU assistance through the project “Improved Regional Statistics in the Republic of Moldova” is to strengthen the capacity of the producers of statistics, mainly the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) to improve the methodological aspects of regional statistics as well as their dissemination.
Most indicators in this compartment were calculated for the first time and can not be found in other compartments of the Statbank. Also, the indicators are part of the Minimum Set of Gender Indicators developed by the UN Statistical Commission. Data are available for 2008-2013 and will be updated annually.
National Bureau of Statistics informs that in 2014 enterprises of railway, road, river and air transport, transported 14428,2 thou. tonnes of goods, with 4,0% more than in 2013. The turnover of goods summed up 4166,7 mio. tonne-km, with 6,6% less than in 2013.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, the indices of industrial production in January-November 2014 compared to January-November 2013 constituted 108,6%. In November 2014 compared to November 2013 the indices of industrial production registered 112,7%.

The publication presents the results of enterprises activity (including small and medium) received as a result of data processing of the Sampling Structural Survey spent in 2013, with application of sample survey methods. The Structural Survey contains a set of indicators, by means of which the whole industrial and commercial system of the enterprise is characterized. Analytical tables containing main economical indicators, including by types of activities, forms of ownership and size of enterprise are presented.

The compilation presents statistical data in the form of tables from various fields: territorial-administrative organization, environment, population, labour force, population incomes and expenditures, dwellings, education, health protection, culture, tourism, crimes, industry, agriculture, investments in long term assets, constructions, transport information technologies, entrepreneurship. It is worth mentioning that the publication includes presentation of the main indicators in the form of maps, 46 in total, which makes it easier for visualizing.
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, network of primary and general secondary education is constituted of 1347 units, including 1345 day schools and 2 evening schools. The majority of primary and general secondary education (98,9%) represents public property.

The publication contains statistics concerning the air protection in atmosphere, the use of aquatic resources, the existence of land and forestry resources, formation and use of consumption and production waste, protected natural areas, the association of hunting, violations of ecologic legislation. For the first time chapters regarding natural disasters and change of weather were included in the publication.
Living standard of the population
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in quarter III 2014, monthly disposable incomes of population summed up in average per person 1787,4 lei, which is with 1,8% more than in the similar period of 2013. Monthly population expenditures in quarter III 2014 in average per person constituted 1831,8 lei, which is with 3,0% less than in the corresponding period of 2013.
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, the higher education network is constituted from 31 units, of which 19 public institutions and 12 - non-public (with 1 unit less compared to previous year). Of the total public institutions, 2 institutions have only Cycle II - Master degree studies.
