The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2025, compared to the previous year, in the entities that carried out research and development activity:

• at the end of the year, 3.3 thousand employees were working in research and development, by 1.1% less than in 2024 year;

• expenditures for research and development activity amounted to 825.6 million lei, or 126.5 million lei (or 18.1%) more compared to 2024, recording 0.23% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
