The National Bureau of Statistics informs that 26,3 million passengers were transported with public transport in January-June 2020, with 48,9% less than in the similar period of 2019. The passenger's journey constituted 1,2 million passenger-kilometers, with 56,9% less than January-June 2019.
According to data of National Bank of Moldova, in January-March 2020 cash receipts in the financial institutions amounted to 50708 million lei, less with 10,0% compared to January-June 2019.
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-June 2020 exports summed up 1170,2 mio. USD, less than in the corresponding period of 2019 with 14,0% and imports summed up 2393,2 mio. USD, less than in the corresponding period of 2019 with 14,8%.

Today, August 6, in an online session, were presented the results of the study on gender perspective in business development, conducted by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) in 2018. During the event was presented the Analytical Report on participation of women and men in entrepreneurship in the Republic of Moldova, developed by the national expert, Rodica Nicoara. Sales indices of agricultural production prices
National Bureau of Statistics informs that producer prices (average sale prices by agricultural enterprises) of agricultural products in January-June 2020 registered 110,4% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

Living standard of the population
National Bureau of Statistics, in accordance with Government Decision no. 851 of 15.08.2005, calculates the absolute thresholds of poverty and other basic indicators for monitoring and assessing poverty. The main source of information for calculating poverty indicators is the Household Budget Survey, whose main objective is multiaspective determination of the living standard of the population, including different socio-economic groups, in terms of incomes, expenditures, consumption, living conditions and other indicators that characterize the well-being of the population.
National Bureau of Statistics presents the statistical information on the demographic situation in the Republic of Moldova for the 2019 year, analyzed through the aspects of the demographic events, which took place during the same period. The indicators disaggregated by sex and age were recalculated on the basis of the usual resident population, which includes those who have lived mainly on the territory of the Republic of Moldova for the last 12 months, regardless of temporary absences.
National Bureau of Statistics informs that the provisional number of the population with usual residence in the Republic of Moldova at 1st January 2020 amounted to 2640,4 thousand persons, decreasing by 45,7 thousand persons or by 1,7% compared to the same period of 2019 and with 228,7 thousand persons in the last 7 years.
The National Bureau of Statistics will develop an integrated information system that will provide complex and timely statistical data on population and migration, including internal and external migration. This system aims to capitalize the state registers by integrating data on population, vital events, demographic characteristics, migration and mobility of persons, existing in administrative data sources assessed as relevant and sufficiently qualitative for the production of official statistics in demography.
