„The energy balance of the Republic of Moldova” is a large statistical collection, which presents the statistical indicators on the formation of primary and general resources of energy, distribution and final energy consumption on the main activities of the national economy during the period 2015-2019.

The EU funded project “Technical Assistance to Support the National Bureau of Statistics of the Republic of Moldova” is seeking an high-qualified national IT company/consortium for re-designing and developing the website of the National Bureau of Statistics of the Republic of Moldova by applying a new responsive design, using best practices and examples from websites of National Statistical Offices of other countries, and considering the specific needs of the NBS.
National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-September 2020 the gross written premiums amounted to 1062,7 million lei, decreasing by12,8% compared to the gross premiums written in the corresponding period of 2019. Compensation and insurance indemnities paid in January-September 2020 amounted to 465,9 million lei, decreasing by 7,7% compared to the payments made in the corresponding period of 2019.
The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-September 2020 were put into operation 5008 dwellings, with 1585 dwellings less than in January-September 2019. The total area of dwellings put into operation in January-September 2020 amounted to 397,0 thousand m², decreased by 20,6% compared to the similar period of 2019.

Industrial production price indices
The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in October 2020 the producer prices in industry increased by 0,4% compared to September 2020, increased with 2,4% compared to October 2019 and with 2,3% compared to December 2019.
The statistical publication “Children of Moldova” is the 3rd edition developed by the National Bureau of Statistics and summarizes the main indicators characterizing the child’s situation in the Republic of Moldova during 2014-2019. The publication is structured into 9 chapters which contains data on the following aspects: demography, children’s health and education, juvenile justice, social protection, situation of families with children as well territorial and international data.
Industrial activity of the Republic of Moldova in January-September 2020National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in September 2020, the industrial production (gross series) decreased by 7,9% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, as a result of decrease of the manufacturing industry (-10,5%). In the same time the quarrying industry (+16,6%) and production of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning supply (+24,1%) registered an increase.

The EU funded Project is a Service Contract managed by the EU Delegation to Moldova and implemented by a consortium led by the Italian Geographical Society in partnership with the National Institutes of Statistics of Italy, Poland, Denmark.

On this day, the 3rd World Statistics Day is celebrated, with the theme "Connecting the world with data we can trust", an initiative of the United Nations General Assembly. This theme reflects the importance of trust in official data and innovation, the confidence of the public good in national statistical systems.
