National Bureau of Statistics informs that in the fourth quarter of 2023:

• the average gross monthly earnings in the real sector units with 4 or more employees and all budgetary institutions amounted to 13401.1 lei, increasing by 16.1% compared to the fourth quarter of 2022 and by 8.4% compared to the third quarter of 2023;

• the index of real earnings (calculated as the ratio of the index of gross nominal earnings and the consumer price index) was 110.3% compared to the fourth quarter of 2022, earnings increased in real terms by 10.3%;

• the average number of employees compared to the fourth quarter of 2022, increased by 0.6%.
