The index of the real salary in the second quarter 2019 compared to the second quarter 2018 was 110,2%, more with 10,2% compared to previous year.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-June 2019 tourism agencies and tour-operators provided tourism services to 151,6 thousand tourists and excursionists, with 12,2% more than in the corresponding period of 2018. The growth of the number of tourists and excursionists was caused by increase of internal tourism, outbound tourism and inbound tourism.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that a number of 156,4 thou. tourists attended the establishments of collective touristic accommodationin during the period of January-June 2019, of which 78,9 thou. of non-resident tourists and 77,4 thou. of resident tourists. In comparison to January-June 2018, the number of tourists accommodated in the collective tourist reception facilities increased due to its growth in hotels and motels, rest structures and holiday camps for pupils.

The number of employees working in SME constituted 328 thou. persons, which is 60,7% of total number of employees. The turnover in SME in 2018 summed up 144159,9 mio.lei, 40,4% of total turnover in economy.
