National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in the first quarter of 2019 the gross domestic product on gross series totaled 41185 mil.lei current market prices, increasing - in real terms - by 4,4% compared to the first quarter of 2018. On the series seasonally adjusted, Gross domestic product increased by 4,1% compared to the first quarter of 2018 and with 0,3% - compared to the fourth quarter of 2018.

National Bureau of Statistics reports that in 2018 compared to the previous year the number of water supply systems has increased by 6 units, thus on the territory of the country there are 1220 water supply systems. Out of the total aqueducts, 1168 systems or 95,7 percent were operating during the year, at the same time, 11 aqueducts were rebuilt, of which 10 in rural localities.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-March 2019 tourism agencies and tour-operators provided tourism services to 38,3 thousand tourists and excursionists, with 7,3% more than in the corresponding period of 2018. The growth of the number of tourists and excursionists was caused by increase of internal tourism, inbound tourism. In the same time, the number of tourists decreased of outbound tourism.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-March 2019, 55,3 thou. tourists attended the establishments of collective touristic accommodation, of which 31,0 thou. foreign tourists and 24,3 thou. Moldovan tourists. In comparison to January-March 2018, the number of tourists accommodated in the collective tourist reception facilities increased, due to its growth in holiday camps for pupils, rest structures, tourist and agrotouristic pensions, hotels and motels. At the same time, the number of tourists accommodated in hostels for visitors was reduced.
