The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-September 2012 tourism agencies and tour-operators have provided tourism services to 163,1 thousand tourists and excursionists, that is with 4,8% more than in the corresponding period of 2011.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-September 2012 220,7 thou. tourists attended the establishments of collective touristic accommodation, of which 154,7 thou. Moldovan tourists (70,1%) and 66,0 thou. foreign tourists (29,9%). In comparison with January-September 2011 the number of tourists has increased with 8,8%, mainly due to the increase of the number of tourists and recreation camps, holiday villages and other recreation structures (+54,6%), hotels and motels (+18,2%), health-care structures (+10,4%), tourist and agrotourist pensions (+6,2%).

National Bureau of Statistics communicates that, global agricultural production, in all types of households (agricultural enterprises, farms and population households) in January-September 2012 registered 78,4% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. The decrease of global agricultural production was caused by a major decrease of vegetable production - with 33,1%, the animal production slightly falling - with 0,3%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs, that at the beginning of the year 2012 in the Repblic of Moldova lived 527,6 thousand persons of 60 years old and over, of which women represent more than a half (60,4%). Two thirds of the entire aged population live in rural area. Every third person is between 60-64 years old and 13,9% are persons wich are more than 80 years old.

National Bureau of Statistics communicates, that in quarter II 2012 living subsistence constituted in average per person 1455,1 lei, which is the same level as in the previous quarter (1455,7 lei). In comparison with the quarter II 2011 living subsistence decreased 3,2%, giving the fact that Consumer Price Index for foodstuff products constituted 101,9%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs, that in quarter II 2012, monthly disposable incomes of population summed up in average per person 1523,1 lei, which is with 6,0% more than in the similar period of 2011. In real terms (adjusted to the consumer price index) population incomes registerd an increase of 1,9%.
