National Bureau of Statistics informs that in quarter II 2010 the economically active population (employed population and unemployed persons) of the Republic of Moldova was 1349,6 thousand persons, with 0,6% less (-8,5 thou.) compared to the respective period of 2009.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in July 2010 retail trade through commercial units summed up 2198,3 million MDL, that is with 10,4% more than in the prevoius month and with 8,9% more compared to July 2009. The volume of charged services rendered to the population by officially registered enterprises in July 2010 made up 1094,9 million MDL, that is with 0,6% more, in comparable prices, than in the previous month and with 2,4% more compared to July 2009.

The volume index of industrial production in comparison with January-July 2009 constituted 105,5%, in comparable prices. In July 2010 in comparison with July 2009 this index constituited 99,8%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in July 2010 the prices in total for industry have decreased in comparison with June 2010 with 0,2%. In comparison with December 2009 the industrial production price index has increased with 5,1%, and with 8,1% in comparison with July 2009.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-June 2010 the average salary of one employee in national economy constituted 2850,2 Lei and it increased compared to January-June 2009 with 6,6%. The real salary in the same period of time decreased with 0,3%. In the budgetary sector the average salary was 2532,2 Lei, and increased compared to January-June 2009 with 8,0%, in the real sector of economy - 3034,4 Lei and increased compared to respective period of 2009 with 5,9%.

The increase of global agricultural production was determined by the increase of animal production - with 12,7%, whth a share in total agricultural production of about 89%.
