Dear Statisticians and Friends of Statistics,

On the occasion of Statistician’s Day, celebrated annually in the Republic of Moldova on 20 October, the National Bureau of Statistics extends its warmest congratulations to all those whose professionalism, responsibility and dedication help keep society and the international community well informed. It is only through our collective efforts that we can produce and disseminate relevant, reliable and internationally comparable official statistics.

Together, we turn data into useful information for public authorities, entrepreneurs and citizens, and develop the National Statistical System in line with high European standards and good statistical practices.

We express our sincere gratitude to all those who make these achievements possible: households, enterprises and institutions that participate in statistical surveys; administrative data providers; the academic community; users, whose support helps us improve our work; and development partners who support the modernisation of national statistics.

We hope for new joint projects, strong partnerships and meaningful achievements in the European integration process, so that we can better meet users’ information needs in support of our country’s socioeconomic development.
