National Bureau of Statistics informs that in the third quarter of 2023:

• the average gross monthly earnings in the real sector units with 4 or more employees and all budgetary institutions amounted to 12357.2 lei, increasing by 16.1% compared to the third quarter of 2022 and by 1.5% compared to the second quarter of 2023

• the index of real earnings (calculated as the ratio of the index of gross nominal earnings and the consumer price index) was 105.9% compared to the third quarter of 2022, thus, earnings increased in real terms by 5.9%. 

• the average number of employees compared to the third quarter of 2022, was approximately at the same level.
