Environment

Environment statistics study the processes of the relationship between people and the environment and include a system of indicators on: existence and use of surface and groundwater resources, air pollution and protection, waste generation and management, existence and use of land resources, existence and use of forest resources, biodiversity , protection of mineral resources, financial expenses for environmental protection. The data are elaborated by the National Bureau of Statistics, the Ministry of Environment, the administrative authorities subordinated to the ministry (Environment Agency, State Hydrometeorological Service, "Moldsilva" Agency, "Apele Moldovei" Agency, Agency for Geology and Mineral Resources), Land Relations Agency and Cadastre. The data are presented annually.
