Freight and passenger transportation in the Republic of Moldova in January-August 2012

National Bureau of Statistics informs, that in August 2012 enterprises of railway, road, river and air transport, have transported 841,4 thou. tonnes of goods, with 17,8% less than in the previous month and with 18,3% - compared to August 2011. The turnover of goods in August 2012 summed up 296,0 mio. tonne-km, with 5,8% less than in the previous month and with 12,2% - than in August 2011.

In January-August 2012 enterprises of railway, road, river and air transport, have transported 5820,6 thou. tonnes of goods, with 2,9% less than in the corresponding period of the previous year. The turnover of goods summed up 2222,8 mio. tonne-km, with 3,4% less than in the January-August 2011.
